EU project partnership: Dandelion

The Dandelion project looked at innovative ways that social science research could create more measurable impact through more strategic, targeted communications.

Our role in Dandelion was to develop an interactive online portal for SSH research, where projects could display their work in a library and interact with a community who chose to join the portal and follow their work – thus creating impact. We also worked on all the communications materials and project deliverables alongside all the partners.

Our Work In Detail

We designed, developed and launched the Dandelion SEED Research Library, an attractive, accessible and easy-to-use multimedia information portal, specifically created for SSH research projects that allows them to communicate directly with those interested in or involved with the SSH community at every level.

As well as displaying project information, the Dandelion SEED Research Library is designed to encourage interaction between research projects and their target audiences, including policy makers and Industry stakeholders.

This two-way active communication, more in tune with social media than other, more traditional means of research communication, is a feature unique to SEED and increases the chance of research being noticed and acted upon by the right people.

Insight’s role in the project also involved ensuring all communications materials were effective in terms of the language used and the innovative materials employed.
