The Sim4Blocks project aims to maximise the use of renewable energy at the blocks-of-buildings scale through demand response.
To lead the dissemination and exploitation work package of this €12million project.
Insight has been involved in Sim4Blocks since the proposal stage, devising a bespoke dissemination and communication work package designed to help the project meet its ambitious aims. This involves ensuring that all stakeholders, energy providers, building owners, public service providers and the general public as energy users, are aware of the opportunities offered by demand response as well as how the innovative systems being developed by Sim4Blocks can be deployed.
We have implemented a suite of exciting and effective communication tools in order to explain the project’s work to these targeted audiences. From creating a clear brand identity and developing the project website to making films about the work and organising workshops, we have worked to develop clear messages, each designed to reach a particular audience with enough relevant information to have the greatest impact. Insight has also worked closely with all project partners to develop a clear exploitation strategy for the project results that have potential to make a difference in the competitive energy marketplace. There is a clear plan to maximise the commercial potential of these results and, importantly, to carry our further work after identifying opportunities for further research and development.
As a project partner and work package leader, Insight understands the complexities of project reporting and the importance of communication amongst partners to ensure the best possible dissemination outcomes – and how together this maximises the chance of having successful outcomes for the project overall.
