We are delighted to present our latest animated short film, showcasing the ground-breaking work of our innovative project FLASH-COMP.
The two-minute animation provides an entertaining and accessible overview of the work the project is doing to optimise the efficiency of the manufacturing process used in the development of some hulls of boats and wings of aeroplanes.
By using sophisticated sensor technology, big data and AI, the project aims to ensure that the process involving the moulding of composite materials using liquid resin infusion delivers end products that are right first time.
As well as streamlining the process, the technology will also help reduce emissions used in the process, reduce waste and deliver new and better jobs for those working in the industry.
It’s ground-breaking work that will help our manufacturing companies contribute to the EU’s ambitions net-zero ambitions.
