The brief given to use was to provide AAL with a more accessible and interesting home page, add several new interactive features and improve access to the repository of project achievements built up over the past 10 years.
The result is a bright new website that reflects the AAL’s main aims and objectives and provides easy access to the various elements and services the programme offers. We are delighted with how it has turned out and have enjoyed the close collaboration with AAL over the past few months. We hope that by providing our advice and expertise, AAL has achieved exactly what they hoped for with the new site.
The new site involved two months of co-design and brainstorming with AAL and its stakeholders as well as a thorough analysis of the existing site’s online performances. The aim was to provide a space to keep the AAL community more informed and more active.
“We have been working on making our website more accessible, as well as making it clearer in providing all the necessary information for our project applicants,” said AAL Communications Manager Nicola Filizola. “We also adopted a leaner approach in order to better engage with all our stakeholders in the ageing and health domains. We have also updated our homepage design to illustrate the three pillars of our activities – the AAL ecosystem, our funding opportunities and our community-building activities that take place through the annual AAL Forum.
“We are delighted with the new site and very happy to have been able to work with Insight Media, whose design and development expertise have helped us realise exactly what we were hoping to achieve with this project.”
